On 7 November 2017, the new Garage Italia Customs headquarters will be inaugurated. Architect Michele De Lucchi designed the restoration of the former Agip Service Station in Piazzale Occursio.

The building is a cross between a spaceship and futuristic object and symbolizes the ’50s economic boom. Enrico Mattei was the driving force behind the project that was completed with design by architect Mario Bacciocchi and as of November it will be home to Garage Italia Customs, Lapo Elkann’s workshop for customizing cars, boats, planes and helicopters. Upstairs, Chef Carlo Cracco will open the doors to his new restaurant.

Milan Ingegneria oversaw the structural design and management of all the restoration work.
