The results of the SI.RE.NA. project were presented on Monday 21 January 2019 at 3.00 pm, at the Sala of “Antica Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia” in Milan.
SI.RE.NA. (Smart Indoor Real time documentation and Navigation for architectural and landscape design) conducted by Milan Ingegneria with Gexcel (Lead Partner) and the University of Brescia, was financed by the Lombardy Region with European Union resources, ERDF 2014-2020, Bid for “Smart Fashion and Design”.
The SI.RE.NA. involved technology development for surveying and three-dimensional rapid reality documentation in BIM mode, through a fast Slam based system: a shoulder anchored surveying sensor and microcomputer capture in real-time the area dimensions covered at a walking pace.
Milan Ingegneria presented the trial carried out in three case studies: the “I Viali” Center stable restoration in Nichelino (TO), the Redipuglia Military Memorial restoration (Go) and the Palazzo Chigi survey (Rome).
