The Italian Pavilion hosts 20 Italian projects characterised by a “TAKING CARE” approach to architecture. The main topics addressed inside the pavilion are the forms of living, work, health, education, culture, and the relationship between public and private clients and associations, where architecture plays an active role in the process of participation and sharing.
Reducing superfluous elements, efficiency and reuse were favoured when designing the low-cost fit out. In line with this resource-saving principle, the Republic of Ireland decided that the wooden panels of the Irish Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 should be reused for the construction of the new exhibition facility.
Milan Ingegneria, who was in charge of the design and construction of the Irish Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, provided technical support for the Italian Pavilion as a sponsor.
