The National Commission has announced the names of the International Design Competition finalists for the redevelopment of Nepean Point in Canada.
Milan Ingegneria, with WAA Montréal inc and TECTOO Architecture, is one of the “Nepean Point Redevelopment” finalists.
Nepean Point is the hill overlooking the Ottawa River with panoramic views of the Canadian Parliament and it is famous for the majestic statue of Samuel de Champlain, who explored the river in 1613. The point is located behind the National Gallery of Canada and was inaugurated in 1967 during the centennial founding Canada.
The international two-stage design competition to redevelop Nepean Point aims to create a vibrant 21st century green space in the heart of Ottawa. The winning design team will be announced at the end of 2017 on the occasion of Canada’s 150th anniversary celebration.
