Albenga Airport redevelopment (Savona)
The Albenga Airport redevelopment plan covers an area of about 1,100,000 sq. m. between the E80 motorway and the Centa river.
The aim of the project is to adapt the existing facilities for airport-related and other activities, such as workshops, maintenance areas, aircraft stands, hangars, business hotels, restaurants, and offices. The plan is also aimed at identifying possible market synergies with the region, and at strengthening the relationship with the Nice-Cannes-Monte Carlo hub.
The masterplan was designed with a view to improving the pre-existing buildings, and giving prominence to the natural and urban characteristics of the area, according to a sustainable social and economic development program combining innovation, culture and protection of the environment.
