Italian Pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Venice (Italy)

“Low cost” is the keyword for the Italian Pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by TAMassociati. The pavilion is made of x-lam panels which were used to construct the Irish Pavilion at Expo Milan 2015. The wooden panels were disassembled, shaped, re-assembled and mounted on Innocenti tubes to create the installation’s main walls:

the Tunnel in the first room and the five Alias in the second room. In the Giardino delle Vergini [garden of the virgins], architects Luigi Greco and Mattia Paco Rizzi used the same elements for the fit-out of the visitor rest area. Milan Ingegneria contributed to the project by providing the structural design, and as a sponsor.
