New Headquarters of Alce Nero in San Lazzaro di Savena, Bologna (ITALY)
Alce Nero emerged from the meeting between the National Beekeepers Consortium and the Alce Nero Cooperative, operating in the Apennines between Emilia Romagna and Marche since the ’70s. Starting from the bees, as a symbol of a regenerating nature, this company has decided to control the food chain by choosing the production sites, processing and components to obtain authentic, organic products. Alce Nero operates on 6,000 hectares in a biologically controlled environment run by over 1,000 Italian farmers, beekeepers and processor who are engaged in producing quality agri-food, including 14,000 small Latin American farmers who have been added.
The new headquarters of Alce Nero, in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna), is made up of three circular buildings with offices, exhibition spaces and a restaurant.
The new headquarters of Alce Nero, in San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna), is a mixed structure: the perimeter walls and ceilings are made of X-LAM wood with an earthquake resistant central core in concrete and columns made of steel.
