The infinite skyscraper

The tower designed by architects Isozaki and Maffei, along with interventions by Libeskind and Hadid, is part of the extensive redevelopment project of the former Milan Fairgrounds, which has given this neighborhood new vitality.
Analogous to the artistic work of Constantin Brâncuşi's "Infinite Column," the skyscraper is composed of modular elements that can be repeated infinitely and, being characterized by a long, tapered plan, give the building a pronounced upward momentum.

The Isozaki tower, which is part of the redevelopment of the former Fairgrounds, is one of the tallest buildings in Italy: 207 meters and 50 stories, 46 of which are for office use.
A convex modular system, supported by three steel struts, dampens wind and earthquake stresses. The facades of each module consist of slightly curved triple glass, which punctuates the vertical rhythm of the tower.
